Teenage cyclist seriously injured in crash with car

A teenage cyclist suffered serious injuries in a crash with a car in Derby.

The casualty was taken to hospital after the collision in Boulton Lane, Alvaston, just after 17:00 BST on Monday.

The road was closed as emergency services attended.

The rider remained in hospital into mid-morning on Tuesday, Derbyshire Police said.

The force appealed for witnesses or anyone who has information to contact them.
